  Celebrate! Honor! Be Inspired!

To honor and sustain them, we hold special events!

A Wonderful Day for Kids and Mentors!

We have held Fun Day, a spirited day of sports, games, crafts, cooking, clinics for football, cheerleading and break-dancing, prizes and food, at Ohio State University’s state-of-the-art recreation center.

Ohio State University honor societies, chief among them the Mount Scholars, helped organize games and activities such as limbo contests and karaoke as well as serving food, securing prizes and serving as Mentors-for-the-Day for young people on waiting lists.

“The Mentoring Center’s Mentoring FunDay is by far the most beloved special event KIDSConnect participates in. Mentoring FunDay allows for our mentors and mentees to cultivate a greater friendship. By hosting the event at The Ohio State University, students’ idea of college is brought to the forefront of their minds and allows for the higher education conversation to happen between our mentors and mentees!”
