Mentoring pays dividends!

Just published benchmarking studies show central Ohio
has higher poverty
and more people with only a high school diploma than most of 15 comparable cities. To compete for jobs, Columbus young people need the
focus, resources and motivation that mentors help provide.

In collaboration with over 40 partner agencies, the
Mentoring Center helps change the landscape for 7,000 children and youth in central Ohio. If you were growing up facing the daily impacts of poverty and violence, wouldn’t you need help believing that a better future was possible for you?

The Mentoring Center offers expertise to mentoring
agencies
, helping over 300 programs statewide and providing $200,000 worth of FREE services to local partners.

Since 2000, the Mentoring Center has trained 22,000 mentors to help ALL our kids SUCCEED!

When top-level executives nationally were asked how they achieved their positions, one of the three most-cited reasons was “having a mentor.”
Intrigued by this finding, the Mentoring Center, through its Mentoring Celebration, will showcase local leaders whose mentors changed their worlds and helped them become the stand-out’s that they are today!
